Whole Child Coach was founded by Hannah Hernandez. Hannah has been working with children professionally, in different settings since the age of 15. After a career in the Dade County School System as a special-ed inclusion facilitator, and private tutor, Hannah embarked on a journey as a character education teacher for Spirituality for Kids, a 501-C3 educational nonprofit. It was in this role that Hannah felt the most in her essence, visiting multiple classrooms throughout her day, reaching hundreds of children a week, and most importantly, teaching tools that would benefit students for the rest of their lives.
As a Spirituality for Kids teacher, Hannah taught over 500 students and collaborated with classroom teachers as well as principals, taking these lessons beyond the one hour sessions, and instead developing a school culture that encouraged children to be aware of themselves, their peers, teachers, and their parents. Through this change, students also learned to manage their emotions, overcome challenges, make responsible choices, and contribute to their surroundings.
Hannah has also written and taught "Me and My Community" (lessons in social awareness and social responsibility), to children and teens in transitional housing, empowering them to believe in themselves and the impact they can have on the world no matter their situation.
Hannah's mission is to combine her education experience and passion--and bring it to families, community centers, and schools. Hannah believes that empowering parents, children, educators, and communities will not only unify, but it will also become the catalyst for emotionally intelligent children who will become leaders tomorrow.
Hannah holds a B.A. in Psychology, has focused her continuing education on Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and is a Certified Wisdom Coach by Adventures in Wisdom.
