Wendi's Daycare

Licensed Home Daycare Provider, 11 years experience with up to 6 children ages newborn to 6 years old. I have been "babysitting" since I was 11 years old. I provide a loving, fun, firm, educational place for you to feel good about leaving your child. I work alone and have a daily routine. We do our "work" which is also fun plus lots of play time. WHY lots of play time?? Because they are kids!! When we "work" we use: flash cards, coloring, writing / pre-writing, numbers/counting, sorting, manners, sharing, fine motor skills and much, much more. I try to make every child ready for Kindergarten when the time comes but I try to make it fun so they like to learn without realizing that they are learning.

The best thing about home daycare is the diverse age group. Your child still gets socialization but they have lots to learn when they have to wait for something while I tend to someone else, sometimes a screaming baby. They learn kindness, gentleness, taking turns, patience and so much more. Instead of a box chain, we have comfy furniture to chill out and read a book or play and beds to sleep on and a kitchen table to eat at with our friends. We form strong friendships. You know your child's playmates. It's just like home, maybe crazier, maybe not. You have all the comforts of home because it is one!

The STATE of MICHIGAN does fingerprinting and background checks on all licensed providers.

We go outside as often as possible! Whether it be to play in the large backyard or go for a neighborhood walk.

Each child has their own assigned bed or pack-n-play to sleep in. I use rotating toy boxes inside and out to keep things "new." We celebrate birthday's and lots of holiday's too.

Nutritional meals/snacks provided. I participate in the food program with ACD.

I have been happily married for 18 years and we have a 16 year old daughter. We do currently have 2 cats. This is a non-smoking home, 24/7, even if you're a guest you do NOT smoke inside my home!
