About the business
Vision Tutors are certified educators who provide high-quality, individualized instruction to students in grades K-12. They adjust their lessons based on students' learning styles, academic levels, skills, pace of learning, and personal interests. Through multiple teaching strategies including hands-on, visual, verbal, and auditory activities, tutors are able to capture students attention and help them better understand and recall skills and apply them not only in the classroom but also in the real world.
For the first five years of service, Vision Tutoring provided private tutorials for K -12 students along with administering and evaluating assessments, creating and implementing lessons aligned to state standards, and preparing students for standardized exams. After becoming an approved Supplemental Educational Services provider through the Georgia Department of Education in 2008, contracts were secured and fulfilled within various school districts, including but not limited to: Atlanta, Bibb, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fulton, Griffin-Spalding, Gwinnett, Henry, and Newton. Over the course of 3 years, Vision Tutoring successfully provided high-quality, one-on-one and small group instruction to thousands of students in grades K - 12, nearly 1,300 of whom were at-risk youth attending Needs Improvement Title I schools. Vision Tutoring was honored to be selected by Atlanta Public Schools as the sole tutoring provider for the Flexible Learning Program, 2013-2014, and was re-approved to providing exceptional service to Atlanta schools during the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 school years.
Through its specialized academic program, Vision Tutoring has a successful track record of helping students:
Improve their grades.
Increase standardized test scores.
Build self-confidence.
Enhance life skills.
Gain an appreciation for learning.
Develop a positive outlook.
