We believe that children learn best through their own exploration of their surroundings. We foster independence and encourage the children to do things for themselves, but the teachers are there for them when needed. At our preschool, children are able to choose activities to engage in for most of the day. There is valuable learning that the children gain by teacher-planned, teacher-prompted activities that are also offered during the day. Some children feel most comfortable during these more structured times of the day. We know that each child develops differently and we support each child's varying pace and style. Our curriculum is not set in stone. We know that we can change it at any time to accommodate different subjects or learning styles.
