Versailles Montessori School

Versailles Montessori School, VMS, is located on 10 beautiful acres of farm land just 3 minutes from the Bluegrass Parkway/Versailles exit. VMS provides childcare for children between 18 months and and kindergarten, along with private school for 1st - 6th grade. We utilize the Montessori method which excels at fostering positive development of the whole child: cognitive, physical, social and emotional. Childcare enrollment is throughout our 10 month school year, August - May. VMS created the first Montessori toddler program in the Bluegrass Region.

We are open 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Our children never watch TV or videos while at VMS, but instead use hands on material to discover new concepts. The children go outside twice a day (40 minutes in the morning and up to 2 hours in the afternoon) as studies show physical activity is excellent for cognitive development. Besides working in the classrooms, the students also learn by using the garden and helping to care for our sheep and chickens.

We have no doubt that students at Versailles Montessori School learn plenty of ABC's and 123's, but we also want our students to learn more about who they are, what talents they have to offer and how to make good choices for themselves. We hope our students leave VMS able to say: I've learned....
