Venessa's In Home Child Care

I have been a nanny and babysitter in my home for over 3 years now, included are my past job duties.

- Disciplined children and recommended or initiated other measures to control behavior, such as caring for own clothing and picking up toys, books, belongings, etc.
- Identified signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and brought them to parents' or or guardians' attention, together finding ways to solve these concerns
- Kept records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, and medications administered
- Instructed children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting and potty training (with cooperation of parents/guardians)
- Read to children and taught them simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs
- Maintained a safe and sanitary play environment

* Thus far I have been privileged to do my job as a Nanny and Babysitter with my 3 year old in my care, being a single mother i have not had many child care options myself. Options are more available to me now. Additionally it has been a great asset in the learning and emotional experience for the children i have cared for to have a him around to learn from, and play with. This is a plus for everyone involved, however if it is preferred otherwise please state so and accommodations can be made.
