Donna is the coordinator for FernDog Rescue and I am the veterinarian for the group and I am also a board member. Hi! My name is Archie and I'm a handsome chocolate Labrador Retriever. I met Donna when I was an itty bitty puppy at 8 weeks old. I interview a lot of potential Archie walkers and she was the ONLY one who started correcting my naughty puppy behavior from day 1! She knew I'd grow up to be a very big solid dog and figured she'd teach me my manners from the beginning. I'm now 6 years old and I have the distinct honor of saying I was one of Donna's first clients. Even when my Mommy said I didn't need a dog walker anymore, I put down my paw and refused to give her up. She's my favorite human in the whole world and makes me feel like her own dog. She considers me family and I consider her my Auntie Donna. It's because of her I'm the best behaved pooch in town (people always tell me that). I get my good looks from my father. We met Donna when we rescued a dog through the Ferndog organization. She has been a tremendous resource for training. She never seems to mind all the silly questions we have about dog behavior. We saw the way she interacted with our dog and how much she genuinely cares about her and decided to hire her to walk Lizzy weekly. Lizzy seems to love Donna as much as Donna loves her. She seems to have an unlimited amount of love to go around for the numerous dogs she comes into contact with. Donna is one of the most compassionate and caring individuals that we know. Donna is my pooches 'other mother'. She is AMAZING. When I decided to do a long-term foster, I needed to have a dog walker in place.My vet recommended Donna. She got back to me right away and we met with my soon-to-be foster pooch that wknd. My dog is a pit who was abused and as a result he is/was afraid of everything. I've had him a little over a year now and Donna has been there every step of the way. He has come so very far and she is equally responsible for him gaining courage to trust. He requires somone with patience and she most certainly has it - more than I sometimes, and her professional background in rescue and knowledge of the breed itself made her more than equipped to handle my fearful boy. I love that he loves her and she loves him. She's also great about leaving notes, texting pics (YEAH) and updates as well. And as a side note, I unexpectedly lost a kitty this past January. It was very fast and I leaned on Donna more while I was at work - she made sure my little man was ok. She went above and beyond for him and I then, and I will be forever grateful for her kindness and compassion.

Donna had been a God sent!! She had been taking care of Riley for the past 4 years. I sometimes thinks he likes her more than he likes me. She's reliable, trustworthy, and has become more than just someone that takes care of my baby, but an amazing friend.
