My name is Jennifer O'Brien. I am writing in regards to a Preschool Teacher opening at your center. I have over five years of experience working with children of all ages and would love the opportunity to embark on a new experience and continue to learn and grow as a childcare teacher.

I am currently working as a Teacher II at Unity Sunshine Day Care, Albany, N. Y. I have worked in all areas of our organization. I began in a self-contained classroom as a one-to-one aide over four years ago. After receiving my CDA, I became a teacher in an integrated classroom working side by side with a special education teacher and therapists. I have worked with children with a variety of developmental delays such as
ADHD, FAS, Autism, and Reactive Detachment Disorder. Our program specializes in behavior management for all our children. I work closely with my team to make sure that every child in our room gets individual attention physically, mentally, socially and emotionally to prepare them for kindergarten.

I am responsible for reaching out to the community based organizations weekly to speak on behalf of our program. We offer all types of services to families in our community who are struggling financially and emotionally during these hard times.

I pride myself on my punctuality and organizational skills. I am very flexible. I give 100% each day in my classroom. I try to bring a positive attitude to work each day toward both my children and coworkers and always maintain professionalism. The opportunity to watch children learn and grow is an honor and something I don't take for granted. I am very excited for a chance to experience a new program with new challenges. Though I currently work in Albany, I have a room waiting for me at 8 Orient Avenue Brooklyn, N. Y. 11211. The room is which is at my brothers apartment is available to me when ever the right opportunity comes along. I am already half moved in as a matter of fact. I can not wait to make this transition, it is something I have been preparing for, for a very long time! I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your time and consideration.
