A short twenty-five minute drive from downtown Duluth, north on Route #4, will bring you to our retreat at 7229 Rice Lake Road (Island Lake). There you will find a well-groomed picnic area with good tables and charcoal grills, camping, and a boat launching area with five docks. <br/> <br/>Our retreat also offers a sight-in range of 25 to 300 yards, a small bore range of 25 and 50 yards, an archery range, and trap shooting range, all open year-round to our members. Firearm Safety Instructors are available, certified by the DNR and N.R.A. with registered classes city-wide. <br/> <br/>With transportation prices soaring, our members are finding and using a recreation area like the retreat more and more. There is something for everyone. <br/> <br/>When you join, you will receive your club paper, "Sportsmen's News", every month to keep you informed of club activities, conservation news, and other pertinent information. You will also enjoy the retreat and many club activities. <br/> <br/>By being a member you have a say in conservation at the local, state and national levels.
