Daycare Center
445 N 400 E Apt. 210, Provo, UT 84606
Ages 18months - 5 years
Uinta Sprites has been my brainchild for the past couple of years as I was completing my BA in History. As a nanny and now mother, I have realized the beauty of children feeling at home while they are so young-a comfortable place with familiar rhythms and organic learning experiences. I want little ones in my care to feel they are in their second home. I want them to learn through activities they would be doing in their own home: playing, baking, playing, reading, playing, exploring outdoors, playing, dancing, yoga, making music, playing, playing, playing.
Curriculum:
My program will be largely child-led. Keeping our numbers small will allow me to get to know your child well and help them explore their interests. An example of how this will look in action:
The children have expressed interest in ocean life so...I will provide invitations to learn such as a sensory table set up with "ocean" exploration - sand, water, water creatures. I will gather books about oceans. I will set out our ocean stuffies, puzzles, and small world play toys. We will pretend we are ocean creatures and explore a day in their life. We will make a recipe together imitating something in ocean life (ex: spaghetti noodles naturally dyed green to look like seaweed).
How I will help your little one feel at home:
-Each child will have a basket of their things (can be from home or provided) such as: a blanket, a floor cushion, a stuffie, a few toys from home to feel ownership and a sense of place.
-I will stick as close to your home rhythms as I can while accommodating the rest of our small group. There will be plenty of space for naps/rests. I will be purposeful about keeping our ages and numbers in line with this.
-I will hug, love, and encourage them as you would: I will make every effort to make this preschool feel as close to the "in-home nanny experience" as possible.
Cost:
*Mostly organic, whole food snacks & Berkey filtered water will be provided.*
Full-time care (M-F 8:00am-5:30pm): $200 per week
