Tyus Tots Home Day Care

Hello! My name is Korina Tyus. I am almost the Big 4-0 and just had my first child, Enrique (we call him Q) one year ago. When I was a child I wanted a big family, but had only one sibling. I loved, and still love, people. I have always been a people person who is interested in what your story is. Armed with a heart of compassion and a desire to help people, I joined the United States Navy and became a Hospital Corpsman, which is similar to a Physician Assistant in the civilian world. The Navy gave me a wonderful opportunity to care for Marines and Sailors. After 10 years I got out to focus on beginning a family, but since that did not happen quickly, I began working at different hospitals assisting medical providers. Years later, 13 to be exact, I reengaged with the man I fell in love with while on Active Duty (the same man I focused on beginning a family with at the time of honorably discharging from the Navy). It did not take long for us to fall in love again, get married, and have Enrique!

Once I had my son I felt a love I had never experienced. I wanted to nurture that love and I had the deepest desire to be with my son as he grew. I could not imagine missing any milestones in his life. He is the reason I decided to open up my own in-home child care. With all of this love to give I wanted me and Enrique to help other babies and toddlers grow up joy-filled, genuinely happy, and with a curiosity for life. I cannot wait to watch the babies and toddlers learn from one another!
