About the business
I teach children who read below grade level to decode, read fluently, spell, and write using Orton-Gillingham methods. I work to instill in my students the pure joy of reading with comprehension.
I teach elementary children to be enthusiastic about math, giving them real life problems and "manipulatives" such as fraction circles and Cuisinare rods that show them concepts with objects they can handle and move around.
For middle and high school students, I teach writing, reading comprehension, and literature analysis, as well as organizational and study skills.
I tutor in my home. I have hours before school (starting at 7:15-7:30), after school, and evening.
