Turning Sun School offers school-day preschool care for children ages 6 months to 5 years. We are an open, affirming, non-religious program that welcomes all types of families. Our play-based curriculum is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. We embrace the natural world and our local community, which means we go outside every day, rain or shine. Turning Sun School is on a mission to build an inclusive, collaborative community that inspires children to realize and share their infinite capabilities, explore and appreciate their natural world and local community, and discover the joy of learning. At Turning Sun, we learn together to take risks, fail, make messes, develop incorrect theories, and feel safe in thinking differently. With four schools in metropolitan Atlanta, Turning Sun has evolved into a movement over the past decade to improve early childhood programs everywhere. In addition to allowing hundreds of students each day to explore, learn, and grow, we inspire our families and other schools along the way.
