If I could give zero stars I would. I have been in contact with this center for the past few days, and was very excited about enrolling my son. The first time I called, I was told to call back after 4:30 to speak to the director. I called back, asked if there were openings, and how soon I could get him in. I know who I spoke to specifically, as the last name was very familiar to me, AND I wrote the information down for future communication. I finally had a chance to stop in (today) to get the process of enrollment started. I rang the bell and a young kid let me in. I wasn't sure where I was supposed to go, and didn't find it appropriate to enter the actual childcare area as an unauthorized person, so I waited for a person of Authority to come to the door in the hallway. I explained why I was there, as the day before, I was told to stop in after 4:30 to get things going. She was absolutely rude and dismissive. I told her the name of who I'd been in contact with, and it was HER NAME. She told me that she has never spoken to me, and was adamant that she and I never had a conversation (so did I just imagine that a person with your name was employed with this facility?). I asked if there was any paperwork I could take, and she told me I'd have to wait for the "Director" to return. She also stated that she wasn't sure there were even openings. She said I could wait until after 5, but even then they have graduation today, so I'd be better off calling tomorrow, and rudely rushed me out of the door. I'm so disappointed as my child being in a Christian environment being raised with Christian values is very important to me. I am VERY disappointed, and appalled. I guess God stopped me at the door for a reason. Sometimes everything in the church isn't holy. The treatment I received today was not reflective of the values I believe are in Christ, and definitely not the ones I'd like instilled in my Son.

The director and staff of Shining Light work hard to make sure your child has the best individualized care he/she can provide. Not only do they have 4 stars through the state rating system, but my husband and I are able to talk and make plans to better accommodate our child as needed. The staff is more than happy to make sure my child is growing and developing in a way that best suits our family. There is no other place we would rather have our child.
