Tots 'N Toyland is an in-home daycare located in Harrisonburg, VA. Erica Dorsey and Callie Simmons are the two caregivers and we have 15 years of child care experience working with children of all ages. Callie is a graduate with concentration in early childhood development. She has worked exclusively with children for the past 4 years and is patient, soft spoken and loves to read. Erica Dorsey is a mother of 3 who is a Nationally Certified EMT and Firefighter who volunteers her spare time for the local fire department/rescue squad. She has cared for children for the past 10 years and is vibrant, animated and compassionate. Although not our area of education, both of us are experienced with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Epilepsy and ADHD.
The care room is sizeable and has a separate sleeping room dubbed Dreamland. We are looking for children ages 1-5 to fill our daycare with love and laughs. Rates and hours are listed on the company website as well as a 5 week nutritional menu and a host of other important information.
Tots 'N Toyland is currently in the process of being licensed by the State of Virginia because we plan to expand beyond the allowable 5 children. Safety and Education are paramount and we can't wait to provide the perfect environment for your child to grow and explore. We know that leaving your child in the care of someone else is difficult and we feel that after viewing our website, our daycare and us - Callie and Erica, you will have the peace of mind you are looking for.
