Positive Energy. We make it a point to go above and beyond traditional pet care services by training and attuning all of our caregivers to the energetic system of Reiki. Animals are very sensitive to energy and living in New York can make things a bit more challenging for the nervous systems of our animal companions. So when we show up to walk your dog, feed your cat or bird, or even to watch your pets and plants while your away we are also providing relaxation, comfort, and healing that you simply will not find with any other pet care service in New York City.

Totem PetCare was founded in Greenpoint Brooklyn in 2010 by Alan Scheurman after working in shelters and boarding facilities that didn't quite provide the best environments for animals pushed him to find a better way to serve the real needs of dogs, cats, and birds in the city. With a background in healing work and a deep love for all animals it was only natural that Scheurman would eventually combine his passions to create a new level of animal care. Now Totem PetCare has grown into a team of reiki attuned, extremely caring walkers and sitters serving the Williamsburg area and most of Manhattan.
