My name is Trish and I'm a mom to 2 boys. I have been keeping children in my home for about 10 years now. (We live on the cul-de-sac in a quiet subdivision.)
I am a pretty laid back mom & I am not a super regimented person. What gets done in a day gets done - the rest waits until tomorrow. I try to take advantage of the time & privilege I have to stay home with the kids & use that time to play with & engage them. I believe it is important to give them plenty of room to explore & discover in as many ways as possible. I do home-school our oldest & love the flexibility & opportunities it gives me to teach in creative & unconventional ways & the time it affords me for additional (non-structured) learning/play time.
I try to do all kinds of activities with the kids, including visits to the library, garden co-op, outside play time, painting, coloring/drawing, crafts, reading time, & trips to the park. For little ones in the 0-2 age range, I really try to emphasize exploration & discovery. We have a play room full of things to play with. I try to provide a variety of activities for the children & each day is different. In addition to giving kids both structured learning & plenty of room for individual exploration, I believe it is also very important to teach them to be kind, considerate & respectful to others around them. At the same time, I believe it is just as essential to treat each child with unconditional love, dignity, & respect.
My overall philosophy with children is that when they are showered with unconditional love & respect & allowed to explore the world in a wide variety of ways & in their own unique ways, they will thrive.

As for my rates, I charge $210/week for full time & $45/day for part time care (that includes meals/snacks). We try to avoid any processed foods, so we eat lots of whole foods.
