New parent to a micro preemie, turn stay at home mom to properly care for his developmental and unique physical needs. Looking to share that same kind of care for a couple other children in my home.

I have been working in banking for the past 4 years, but before that I worked with children of all ages in various settings. My experience includes teacher's assistant for kindergarten, 3rd grade, and middle school phys ed; behavior technician working with children with autism using play base learning; and resident staff in a group home setting helping the residents develop proper life skills while keeping them safe.
My name is Amanda. I have always loved working with children and have taken many college courses in child development and psychology. Due to personal reasons I did not further pursue a future in child care, until now! It is never to late to do what you love! The passion I have for helping children grow, learn, and live happy, healthy lives has always been very present and I want to finally take action and help parents ease their mind in knowing their child is being well taken care of in a small, one on one setting, where they can get the personalized needs for their growth and learning. I am so excited to start this new adventure!
I am trained in infant/child CPR. During the process of my little one growing up in the NICU I have worked closely with physical, occupational, and speech therapists learning the best techniques to use for development and fully intend to use those techniques for my own child and any other little ones I care for. Will soon be starting the process of legitimatizing my In home Daycare and getting state certified.
As far as what you can expect your child's day to look like, they would include:
* healthy pre-planned meals/snacks
* age appropriate play-based learning
* story time morning and afternoon
* lots of arts and crafts to share with parents
* walks to the park and occasional field trips (with sufficient notice and approval)
* and much more...
I am looking to care for only a couple children ages 8 weeks- 4 years, so I can focus on quality care for your little ones. Hours are Mon-Fri, 6am-7pm. I am willing to provide care for an occasional week date night with adequate notice as well. I charge $5/hour, so if your little one is not in my care for a day, you do not pay! Also offering a family discount if you have more than kiddo in my care. I can start June 3rd. If you have any further questions feel free to contact me.
