Tiny Scholars

Tiny Scholars combines the benefits of an in-home daycare with the structure and curriculum of a commercial preschool. We believe that children of all ages and abilities benefit from learning together in both free play and defined-task environments.

As infants, our scholars are busy from day one! We institute exposure to many pillars of learning. Infants grow cognitive and sensory awareness from a very early age. In their first year of life, we help babies develop their understanding of touch, sight, smell, hearing and speech. Sign language, music, manipulative play and motor skill activity all provide the foundation that gives your child a big head start.

As toddlers, ages 2 through 3 1/2, our scholars set their roots and really begin to grow. With continued focus on language skills, we learn the alphabet and begin to understand vocabulary. We learn the calendar and other concepts of time. Our cognitive abilities really start to thrive as we practice building with blocks, learning how plants grow in our garden, understanding the weather, listening to stories at circle time and so much more. Not only do we learn from our teachers but we also teach those younger than us. This collaborative environment has shown time and time again to surpass the status quo of learning in separated age groups.

By 3 1/2, we pay special attention to help prep our scholars for the transition to kindergarten. At this stage our kids are ahead of the curve in all areas of educational focus. Most parents will find their scholars over-prepared for a pre-K or even kindergarten environment. Most will already know how to share, contribute and speak in front of class. They can sit for structured learning, clean up and organize, and use their imagination and creativity for artistic expression and problem-solving. Time and time again, we hear from our parents that our graduates are at the top of the class.

All scholars get to enjoy our private play area on the premises, our newly remodeled school room as well as regular walks to the nearby park. We serve a healthy breakfast, lunch and snack every day in compliance with our local state regulated agency, Pathway to Educated Nutrition. All of our teachers and aids are CPR certified every year. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac, Tiny Scholars is a California licensed in-home daycare with random annual state inspections, fire inspection and food / health inspections.
