My mission statement for ThinkSafety NicholsHills Nanny was born many years ago when I was faced with placing my precious infant son into what I believed was the "best of the best" care available. My husband and I had waited long in our life to be blessed with our little guy and we thought we had done our homework on the best daytime care for him after my maternity leave.
However, to our horror we simply could not believe the inappropriate care my little man went through along with other babies as my husband and I began our journey of what we knew that would make our family function in a healthy, precious, loving, environment with the sweetest baby nanny we could have ever been blessed with. However, like many families when we were doing our initial baby care options that were nightmares. Our precious nanny that my son spent many wonderful years with. Had a waiting list. While awaiting a spot in her schedule, I refused to put my baby back into the hands of cookie cutter infant curriculum. I took a leave from my career. And after much prayer and favor our "Miss Edna" became not only our nanny but our extended family member. Our sweet, sweet dear nanny that loved our little boy and was as if he had been blessed with an energetic additional grandmother was the just the puzzle piece we needed. My son will be forever blessed by this special connection .
As a medical educator over the last 30 years I have been touched by children that I have cared for, traveled with and worked within their special accommodations. As an "empty nester" with an absolute love of providing support for families with their little ones (and big brother and sisters too) with collaboration of the parents aspirations and always open communication to best serve the whole family unit. I offer complimentary "meet and greets" where there is no question to small or large for you to evaluate my services, my availability and more detailed information regarding my life experiences and my strengths that might assist your family like my sweet nanny did for us. As my sons nanny aged and is now in dementia care. I promised her I would keep her life long dream of excellent child care and family care alive. And I am now committed in doing just that. As we were very blessed in our business to have the option of this child care. However, as I learned years later our sweet nanny had donated hundreds of hours to struggling families. It is time in my life to give care to those in need.
