Occupational therapy (OT) is a client-centered healthcare profession that addresses the needs of individuals across the lifespan. OT may help with cognitive, sensory, mental health, and physical deficits caused by illness or injury. The goal is to promote health and wellness using a holistic approach.

OT focuses on enhancing functional engagement in daily activities that are meaningful and purposeful to the individual. OT practitioners have a unique skill set when it comes to adapting, modifying, and developing effective strategies to maintain or achieve independence with daily routines.

Therapeutic Balance LLC. offers a skilled intervention known as Skills2Care The program is designed specifically to assist caregivers who provide care for persons with dementia. The program may address behaviors such as wandering, agitation, shadowing, refusing care, incontinence and many more. Skills2Care is also beneficial in terms of decreasing caregiver burden/stress, and promoting active engagement in functional tasks.
