The Wonder Playschool

Childcare is different at The Wonder Playschool. It's that simple.

We're a select Peoria infant/toddler playschool, with professional, degreed teachers, and we cater to parents who want "more" than daycare for their children.

Your child will enjoy a safe, secure environment; small classes with plenty of
personal attention; exceptional facilities; and an engaging curriculum. We'll also
fill you with the confidence of knowing your son or daughter is in excellent,
experienced hands.

Infants:
We recognize the unique preferences and needs of each infant and strive to make every child's time at The Wonder Playschool feel like an extension of home. By understanding their typical home routines and schedules, we are able follow their natural sleeping and waking process and determine meals and feedings based on their individual hunger patterns. We follow their cues to implement your home schedule as closely as possible, and we are always available to discuss any changes.

We also understand that your morning routine is hectic, and we make every effort to make our services a welcomed assistance. With this in mind, daily care essentials like Pampers diapers, wipes, and ointment are included in your child's tuition, and we will gladly store your child's formula or breast milk for you on site


Toddlers:
We know that toddlers learn best through play and are always striving to make sense of the world around them by discovering and exploring. At The Wonder Playschool, we seek to provide our Adventurers with the time, space and freedom to follow their curiosity and learn as much as they able through their play.

By providing our toddlers with plenty of hands-on, meaningful learning experiences and individualized attention, during their time at Wonder they will deepen their language skills, refine their motor skills, practice problem solving, build independence, gain confidence, and grow in their social and emotional development.

Twos:
At The Wonder Playschool curiosity and wonder are prevalent, but safety and security are paramount as well. We foster a caring and safe environment for little eyes and ears (as well as fingers and toes) to soak up and interact with the world around them.

We encourage children to use words and facial expressions to communicate their feelings, boundaries, and desires. Our rules are simple: We cannot hurt ourselves, others, or property. Our goal is to allow your child to express him/herself in unique, socially acceptable ways.

We also make sure your child feels safe, inspired, and right at home. Our project-based curriculum mixes play, nature, and hands-on, investigative learning. Creativity is encouraged, so when your child is ready for preschool, he or she has the tools to meet the new challenge head on.
