The Trailhead Schoolhouse

We are an academic preschool for 3, 4, and 5 year-olds who are fully potty-trained.
We offer classes, Monday through Friday, that begin at 8 A.M. and end at 5:00 P.M.

I tailor our curriculum to meet each child's needs and interests. In that regard, and given our very small class sizes (maximum of 7 children per class), we are a unique preschool. I am the sole teacher, and we offer a wide range of subjects, in addition to the typical kindergarten readiness skills, including history, geography, science, and math.

Our fees are $25 a day for a full-day session, from 8 until 5 PM. We serve healthy snacks and beverages for the children at morning and afternoon snack times, and students bring their own lunches. Each child has his/her water bottle that is available throughout the day.

My degree is in Communication Studies, and I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Memphis. I have taught children of all ages for over thirty years and have homeschooled my own four since their preschool years. Three of them have already gone to college, each on academic scholarships, and my fourth child is currently completing his high school coursework.

I have taught English in a private school in Houston, Texas, and have most recently been teaching English online to Chinese children in mainland China. I also speak at ladies days/retreats for various congregations of the church of Christ around the country but am currently focusing on my dream of operating my own preschool. I have several references that I'd be happy to share with you.
