The Study Shack offers one-on-one tutoring at our centers (on the Upper East Side and Tribeca) or in you home.
We assist students in grades PreK-12 in all core subjects.
We offer Standardized Test preparation for the following: ERB, ISEE, SHSAT, SAT, ELA/Math State Exams, and NYS Regents.
We have tutors specifically trained in Special Education who can assist Special
Needs students in developing the necessary skills to learn in a productive way.

Our tutors have graduated from colleges such as NYU, Columbia, Hunter, UCLA, etc., with degrees in Early Childhood Education, Elementary and Secondary Education, and Special Education. We address specific learning differences in each student, providing individual attention and focus. We strive to help students succeed in school.

Janie has a 25-year background in regular and special education. She has taught at the elementary and secondary levels in both public and private schools. She has served as a learning specialist, working with adolescents challenged by learning and/or emotional issues. She has also worked as a Studio Teacher backstage on movie, television and Broadway sets.
