The Oaks Manor

We are a small State Licensed Assisted Living Facility in Oakland, IL. We offer private suites each with their own bathroom. All the rooms have emergency pull-cords in the bathroom, living room and bedroom. We have security cameras at each door and down the hallways for your safety and security. You will enjoy cable television and internet and you have your own thermostat for your comfort. There is ample parking if you have your own car. If not, the grocery store, library, post-office, senior center and Casey's are all within a couple of blocks. Each room has a small kitchen area with refrigerator, microwave and sink. The bathroom showers are wheelchair accessible. Your precious belongings added to your suite will make this truly "your home away from home". Alternatively, for shorter stays you can enjoy a beautifully appointed room with all the conveniences of home. We provide respite care for family members when torn between wanting to care for you and needing to be at a family event or when they need a "mental health" break.

The common areas for dining and the living room are comfortable and homey. You will be catered to as you enjoy home-cooked meals. Your clothes will be laundered for you and your apartment will be cleaned weekly. This gives you lots of free time to enjoy activities planned for you. You can participate in bingo, cards, kick ball, low-impact exercise, popcorn & movie nights, family cookouts, storytelling, visits with Rachel (the comfort dog), church services, bible study and more. When you want to enjoy some fresh air, summer breezes, birds singing and beautiful sunset colors painted across the sky, spend time in your secured outdoor recreation area with the trees, flowers and vegetables grown for your enjoyment.

If you need additional assistance, we are here for you. Depending on your specific needs, we will customize a care schedule for you. Care can include medication reminders and assistance with daily activities including help getting around, eating, dressing & bathing. You can also get help for incontinence.
