The Mountain School

Pre-academic in the truest sense, our program fosters self-regulation, social interaction, conflict resolution, creative problem-solving, and doing for oneself--forming a lasting foundation for future academic and personal success. Since 1990, our seasoned Waldorf-trained faculty has created a nurturing environment where social-emotional learning is integrated with practical life skills, art, movement, story and song. We partner with parents to create a vibrant community based on shared values, appreciation for the gifts of nature, and respect for one another. Our graduates are especially noted for their remarkable capacity to focus, as reported by teachers in public and private schools all over the region.
