We offer a childcare program for ages 2-4, that is inspired by Waldorf Education. Our cheerful, caring environment, encourages joyful friendship, wondrous discovery, and a love of learning.
The Magic Garden's childcare program provides a nurturing foundation for the growing child. We offer imaginative play, simple crafts, poems, songs, and storytelling, along with learning basic numbers, colors, shapes, letters, and encouraging an interest in reading. All lessons are taught in a creative fashion and through our daily activities. With this approach the child's emotional, intellectual, and social life are strengthened.
The day begins with indoor play in our homelike playroom. After playing we tidy our toys, and enjoy a healthy snack. Then we have circle time, academic lessons, and craft, after which we head outdoors to play in the garden. There the children can run, explore, play on the seesaw, slide climber, and with our other outdoor toys. During the Summer months we enjoy swimming every morning. Afterwards we return inside and lunch is served. When lunch is finished the children settle down for rest time. When the children awake we have a snack, free-play indoors, in our sun-room, or outside (dependent on weather), and may do crafts and games, before going home for the day. Throughout the day there are ample bathroom breaks and opportunities to learn the alphabet, numbers, shapes, and colors within the context of our daily activities.
