The Little Hummingbirds

Evelyn's The Little Hummingbirds Family Childcare P/T and F/T availability now open. Ages 0 months-5 years old. State Licensed, CRP and Home & Safety Certified.

The Little Hummingbirds provides the first stepping stones to a child's life. The goal is having the children take significant lessons with them after she/he leaves the daycare as they begin their journey in school and life. Children here will learn to be well rounded individuals, as they develop their own personality in a safe environment. They will learn to have a basic peer/social etiquette, and participation skills. The children will learn to be focused while at the same time have fun engaging in playful and enjoyable activities inside and outside. The children will be exposed to healthy eating and healthy hygiene habits, a diverse world of cultures and people. The Little Hummingbirds is open to create a multicultural and bi-lingual environment for children to explore the different diverse cultures San Francisco is known for.

General child care includes the following:
*making/providing meals
*diaper changing
*Co-potty training (if parents are starting to do so)
*arts and crafts projects
*going outside to play.
*story-time
*music-time
*playing, interacting with the children, etc.
Indoor space:
The facility has many toys that allow children to engage with their peers, use their imagination, and explore their creative side. Some of the toys we have are:
-Small play kitchen with play food, pots and pans, and tea sets for those who want to release their inner mini-chef.
-Puzzles
-Blocks
-Diverse play dolls and people
-Cars, train sets
-Animals
-Instruments and more....
- A lot of books for all the ages of children that are here in the daycare.
-For infants there are many sensory toys and play mats.

Outdoor space:
The FCC has an open space in the yard that allows the children to be outdoors receiving fresh air as they play outside. Outdoor activities include:
-Sand and Water sensory table
-Bubbles
-Sidewalk chalk
-Playhouse
-Non-mechanical Car (moved by pushing feet)
-Picnics
-Reading time outside
-Music time outside
*all these activities are limited based on the weather
**Children are NEVER left unattended and alone. 3 children to 1 adult is the ratio.
