Our goal at The Literacy Clinic (TLC) is to assist students in developing and strengthening skills in all areas of literacy as well as provide assessment and instruction in reading and writing strategies. We provide a nurturing atmosphere in which each child will acquire the confidence to meet his or her fullest potential and begin the school year with confidence and enthusiasm. Our writing clinic offers assistance in the following areas:
- Assistance for Beginning and Struggling Writers,
- College Essays and Applications,
- PARCC Test Prep in English/Language Arts (ELA),
- Summer Reading and Writing Assignments,
- Diagnosis and Intervention Strategies for Struggling Readers.
Once skills in both reading and writing progress, your child's grades in all subject areas will be positively impacted. Your child's confidence will improve and you will feel you have provided them with the best opportunity to be a step ahead of their classmates for the upcoming school year.
