Since 1986, Director Therese FitzRandolph of The Learning Convergence has been serving students in grades K-12 with literacy and learning difficulties throughout San Diego County. The Learning Convergence was founded when it was realized that despite schools efforts to boost reading scores, there was a large population of average to above-average students with reading problems whose needs were not being met in the traditional classroom, special ed classrooms, or through standard tutoring techniques.
The Learning Convergence is dedicated to providing a very personalized and nurturing environment for learning, which we believe is fundamental in creating successful learners. No matter what a student s past educational background or current skill level, the learning processes utilized in our programs have enabled countless children to gain the necessary skills to become independent and accomplished students.
