The Kitty Care Lady was founded by Sherri Callahan, a Registered Nurse with a lifelong love of animals. She is owned by 6 very spoiled cats. The Kitty Care Lady provides pet-sitting services to clients in the Huntington Beach area, Long Beach, Fountain Valley and surrounding areas.

Sherri has been a petsitter since 1999 and is experienced with special needs kitties, including administering insulin, inhalers, oral, topical and subcutaneous medications.

We provide pet-sitting in your home, so your pet can be in its own, comfortable environment while you are away. While kitties are our specialty, we have experience in caring for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, bearded dragons, and birds.

Services include taking out the trash and recycling, picking up mail, watering plants, picking up medications from veterinarian offices, some transport of kitties to the veterinarian.

Each visit lasts approximately 45 minutes to an hour or more, depending on the needs and personality of the kitty or other pets. We scoop litterboxes, clean food and water bowls, provide fresh food and water, give treats (if allowed), and will do a complete litterbox cleaning if desired by the client.

Currently we do not provide mid-day dog-walking services or boarding of any animals.

We are bonded and insured and are in the process of getting certified in pet CPR and first-aid.
