Physician-Directed Care
Through our Home Health department, The Independence Center (The IC) employs RN's and LPN's who provide skilled care services such as: medication management, wound care, and IV therapy. Our Home Health department also has occupational and physical therapists. Our certified nursing assistants (CNA) assist with activities of daily living.

Client-Directed Care
As one of the few providers of the In-Home Support Services (IHSS) program in Colorado Springs, we provide you the opportunity todirect your own care. You may choose qualified family or friends who meet our criteria to be your caregiver(s), or you may choose from our available employees. The IHSS program is a self-directed program administered through self-advocacy or an appointed authorized representative. Care is provided by Personal Care Attendants (PCA), Personal Care Workers (PCW), or qualified homemakers that you choose. The Independence Center provides services to all ages and disabilities, including pediatrics. We serve all the following counties for client-directed care only, and we serve El Paso county for both physician-directed and client-directed care: Chaffee Costilla Crowley Custer Douglas El Paso Freemont Huerfano Las Animas Lincoln Otero Park Pueblo Teller Here at The Independence Center you have choices.
