I left my dog, Sadie, a six pound Yorkshire Terrier, at the Grooming Den. While staying there she became frightened of another dog and tried to squeeze under a chain link fence. She became stuck and struggled, cutting her skin again and again and finally tearing her flesh away from her body in a 3" three corner tear.

The owner of the Grooming Den took her to the Emergency Vet Hospital and paid $450 so that she would be admitted but she wouldn't pay any more. Sadie did not heal. Her wounds became infected and the torn skin died. The vet said she faced daily surgeries that might not have a good outcome after all her suffering. I reluctantly put her down.

I am left without my faithful companion and $950.34 in vet bills. Why was she not helped when she was struggling? Why was she so frightened that she was desperate to escape under the fence. With regret I remember that I signed a paper when I left Sadie there that the Grooming Den "shall not be held personally liable for such injury or illness."
