I am a mother of teach who has just left teaching kindergarten to stay home and homeschool our 2 children. We have a 10-month-old and a 3 1/2-year-old. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and I just completed my 14th year teaching. I have taught in Africa, Jamaica and of course here in the United States. Throughout my years teaching I have observed that most (not all!) children learn more when given an opportunity to interact and explore with their peers. With that being said, I am looking for one or two families who would like their toddler/preschool aged child to be in on the home school experience. I follow the Montessori approach. I love to give the children many different opportunities to learn at their own level and to be able to have a say in what they want to learn. I give them a range of hands on activities to take part in, spending as much time outdoors as possible. We are an organic, fun loving family.
