The Gathering Place Adult Day Care provides a warm, safe, and nurturing environment for clients who have been identified by family members and/or health care professionals as needing a social environment, consistent supervision and assistance in preforming their activities of daily living. We create a vibrant and social community to enjoy their day while receiving the care and support they need.
Each participant has an individual Service Plan to promote improvement, maintenance, or delay in decline of physical, social, and mental functioning. Participants of the Adult Day Service, and their families, benefit from the activities and social exchange that Adult Day Services provide. Participants often sleep and eat better, their behavior becomes less of a problem, and their communication, and motor skills improve. With such improvements, the participants, and their families, and their caregivers can avoid or postpone placement into a nursing home or long term care facility.
