At The ELIE (Early Language Immersion & Enrichment) House, children enjoy a relaxed routine in a loving family-style environment with tons of rich conversation, lots of laughs, learning through demonstration & doing, positive peer bonding & days full of guided & independent free play both, in & outdoors! Organic lunch, milk, morning & afternoon snacks are included. It is my goal to make the childcare portion of parents' lives as seamless as possible & to provide premier toddler care here in the East Bay. We follow a daily schedule that includes: guided educational interaction, independent free play, intro to Espanol, story time & sing-a-long, outdoor water play, crafts, sensory bin discovery, yoga & more!

The ELIE House is tucked in a quiet, family-filled cul-de-sac. On 1/3rd of an acre, with about 1400sq ft of space dedicated to play including an art studio, a ball pit, a felt board wall, sensory bins, an outdoor rock pit, sand & splash bins, and a sleeping nursery, little ones will have full days of organic learning through experience & exploration!

Children will leave The ELIE House with a broad vocabulary, a thorough understanding of the world around them, lasting baby friendships & the confidence, ability and self-awareness they need for a successful transition into school.

About Me:
My name is Poppy, I'm originally from Hawaii and I've lived here in the East Bay with my husband, Brian, and two fluffy Bichons, Charley and Bella, for just under 4 years now. In that time, I've worked for some amazing families of multiples of up to 4 children, as a private care nanny (ask me for some references! Moms are happy to share!). Over the past few years, I have learned a ton, ton, ton about early childhood behavior and come to understand much about how little ones develop, learn, bond, play, interact, sleep....! A lot ;) So it turns out, I'm pretty good with energetic toddlers and just plain old love cool kids! With that, and as Brian and I look to start a family of our own in the next year, progression from a nanny to a family daycare owner seemed natural.
