The Discovery House

The philosophy of The Discovery House is to provide a safe and conducive to learning environment, nutritious foods and a variety of activities to help your child grow socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. We strive to provide a nurturing environment, the type of environment that promotes your child's self-esteem and imagination to thrive. We will also help to develop skills necessary to be successful in life. At The Discovery House the children will learn through discovery and play.

We run a preschool program. For our curriculum we have chosen FunShine Express. They offer a wide range of preschool activities throughout the school year. They are a professionally designed, monthly preschool curriculum for children age two through five. Along with discovery play throughout the day, we have small group times so that the children are working with a teacher. The children get outdoor play in a large fenced-in yard.

Parents must sign a yearly contact, which runs from September-September. Each September parents must sign a new contract. This agreement shall be legal and binding until such time as either Parent or Provider gives a two-week written notice. Please note that if two weeks notice is not give, two-weeks tuition will be due on the last day of care.

The following forms must be on file before child is accepted for care:
**Signed Parent/Provider Agreement
**Notarized Child Information form and Emergency Medical Authorization
**Physical/Shot Records
**Proof of Age and Identification
**USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program.

All the necessary forms must be completed and returned before child is accepted for care. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS! To care for your child without these forms would be considered a violation of state law. All forms must be updated at least every six months.
