Adult Day Services operates two Adult Day Centers - one in Placerville and one in El Dorado Hills. The centers provide a warm, nurturing and friendly setting, offering a world of activity for body, mind and spirit; helping adults remain active and involved in the world around them. Friendships blossom while participants enjoy activities designed to add meaning to their lives, improve mental and physical function, and increase their sense of worth. The Centers give families peace of mind and a break from caregiving responsibilities. Adult Day Services also provides supportive services, resources, education and respite care for family members who are taking care of those with dementia and other chronic health issues.

The Club: Older Adult Day Services

The El Dorado Hills Senior Day Care has been a wonderful advantage for both my husband and myself.  It gives me a break and gives my husband the opportunity to talk with others.  He is not just sitting on the couch at home but now has friends to share with.  Very important.  Also flexible when we have doctor's appointments or are sick and do not charge for those days.  A wonderful service that gives my husband the opportunity for beginning again.

My wife has been attending for almost a year now & we are very happy with her progress. Thanks to the PT sessions she is getting stronger. The staff is very attentive & caring. Meals are good & tailored to her diet  needs. She attends two days a week which gives me time to engage in my interests.

My mother-in-law has attended the Senior Day Care center for over a year. She looks forward to her daily visits and is full of stories to share with us about her new friends and activities. My husband and I find comfort knowing she is keeping active and is safe. The center staff and Jillian Smith are always available to answer questions and provide excellent care for our loved one.

I could not have continued as my mothers care taker without the support of the Senior Day center in El Dorado Hills.  They made/kept mom so happy and comfortable.  I felt authentic love for mom from all the staff.  If you need assistance do NOT hesitate to send your loved one to them.  Would rate a 10 star if it was available !!!!!

This has been an excellent program for my dad who has Alzheimers. He resides in an assisted living facility, but 3 days a week he comes to Senior Care for socialization and fun. Jillien and her staff are amazing people that truly care about the needs of others. It is an extended family for my Dad.It has been such a blessing.

My 98 year old father enjoys going to the El Dorado Hills Senior Day Care Center.  The staff are all very friendly, helpful and professional.  I know my dad gets excellent care and comes home happy.  I particularly like that they work to keep him busy during the day and that he gets to interact and meet new people.  One of the best things we've done for dad.

My husband has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease (possibly some Louis Bodies Dementia as well).  I am 12 years younger than he is and am still working full time.  "The Club" is a God send for me.  He is currently going 2 days a week, but I am looking at adding more days as his condition worsens. He loves it there.  He thinks of it as an adult club (thanks to Jillian's re-frame of the term day care to club.)  He has always enjoyed it from day one.  I love that they can pick him up and return him to my work each day.  He has lots of stories about the activities.  He enjoys the staff and clients as well.  This is the best situation that I can imagine him participating in and it's fees are so reasonable.  The care is excellent, they are super accommodating to all of our needs and it is such a happy, friendly place in which to spend a day.  The staff is well trained and professional, yet caring.  I feel very blessed that we have such an excellent service here in our county.  I highly recommend checking out "the club" for your own family member's needs.

They made the transition for independence to assistance seamless.  My husband enjoys the time he has socializing and gets help with exercise.  Jillian has helped us negotiate through every hurdle we have to face.

The loving staff has done so much for my brother I don't have words to describe it.

My husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2015. He is now 67 years old. We found El Dorado Hills Day Care/Club through a friend, and I will forever be thankful. We started with 2 days a week and increased to 5 by the end of the first year. Jillian's idea to make him a volunteer motivated my husband to go. He loved the activities, especially the music and the dancing, and always returned home happier. He felt good about himself being able to do something useful. I was happier too, having the time to work, take care of my kids which just graduated from high school, and a bit of time for myself.
Unfortunately, the disease progressed and he now needs more than what a day care can provide. I moved him to memory care in Granite Bay.

We are completely impressed and grateful for this program. We were very hesitant to bring our loved one knowing she also struggles with fear. The director and staff are absolutely amazing. They identify what might be beneficial for each person, not just a formula applied to all. Our loved one has THRIVED here and we are seeing the improvement in many other aspects of her days. We cannot recommend this program highly enough!!!!

My father is very happy in El Dorado Hills Day Care. He is 85 years Old And was really sick three years ago. If he stayed at home, he could sleep whole day. After he joined EDC, he met New friends, doing some excise, he got much better. All the staffs and volunteers are very nice people! I strongly recommend them to take care of your senior!
