At The Children's Hour Academy, we believe in developmental appropriateness, academic stimulation and education, continuity of care and most importantly, atonement. Our class sizes are small and we nurture the whole child regardless of age. We concentrate on three components of a child: the social and emotional development, the intellectual development, and the spiritual development. Our school is unique in that we embrace the children and the families--this is a focus of love, education, and care. Our mission is to serve infants, children, and their families with unparalleled developmental opportunities. Nurturing, educated, and experienced teachers structure learning environments that are conducive to a child's individual nature. By being attuned to every child, a bond of trust is formed; that is the foundation for our Continuum of Care Philosophy. This will be achieved while maintaining the highest level of respect, safety, and accountability.
Our extended hours (7 am-6 pm) and our included breakfast, lunch and snacks accommodate working parents. In addition, we offer Spanish for preschool through kindergarten students. This academy has to be seen to be believed! In operation since 1986, we have two locations in Lake Oswego; one on SW 65th Avenue and the other is our Infant and Toddler Development Center at 4711 Jean Road.
