The Center for Kindred Consciousness offers in office and home-based (mobile) counseling, reiki, & meditation services. For the purposes of Care.com, we are offering Mobile Reiki and Mobile Counseling services to pets and their owners, and to families with aging loved ones and their family member caretakers.

The basic idea is that we ALL need to care for each other and ourselves. Care takers are equally in need of care, which is why our office has made it our 2017 endeavor to offer support to ALL those who care for others (people and pets alike), as well as to those for whom care is regularly offered.

Our licensed counselors are available as a supportive sounding board, decision copilot, and emotional guide. Our Reiki Masters are available to promote a balance of energy within the mind and body to support relaxation, a sense of calm and connected-ness, healing, and physical transitions.

Reiki is a form of alternative medicine developed in 1922 by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui. The work Reiki is a combination of two Japanese words - "Rei" which means "spirit" and "Ki" which means "life force energy" which when combined, translates to "spiritually guided life force energy". This technique is commonly used for stress reduction and relaxation which in turn promotes healing. The "life force energy" is passed through the hands of the practitioner with a technique commonly called palm healing or hands-on-healing. Through the use of this technique, practitioners transfer "universal energy" through their palms to the recipient.

Reiki is often used when the body is ill, having dis-ease, and in need of balance and support. Hospice and specialty hospitals often use Reiki as an addition to their medical care, and is especially helpful toward our end of life transition. We are offering Reiki Healing and Relaxation in the comfort of your own home, our office, or where ever you or your loved one resides.
