Owned & operated by a mom of three, The Bus Stop is the next-best thing to going home after school. And just steps away from L. Vern Allen Park, there's always extra fun!
Safety first! We are CPR & First Aid certified. We are also mindful about accident prevention and our rules reflect that.
When you register, you will have an opportunity to discuss any special needs or concerns, such as allergies, medications, etc.
Fingerprinting and background check done by Orange County Sheriff's Office.
Your child is only allowed to be signed out by authorized people.
We care about seasonal gear, from the proper application of sunscreen and insect repellant to bundling up with hats and gloves.
Any condition or illness that you need to be aware of is announced on the Yuck Board. Notices are sent as necessary.
Ms. Nicole has been employed by Dutchess County Healthy Families and Orange County Department of Health, with over 15 years of experience in working with children. She has two degrees --Criminal Justice, A.A.S and English, B.A. --from SUNY Orange and Mount Saint Mary College, respectively. She was raised in New Windsor, NY and recently settled here in Washingtonville. Ms. Nicole is the mother of Ari (13), Christian (8), and Nola (2). Her hobbies include writing children's' books that she might even publish one of these days and stuff-she-never-did-before, like zip-lining! She is just like every other mom who has a never-ending to-do list, bad hair days and rearranges the same couch pillows 20 times a day. BUT she focuses on the positive, like HGTV and dark chocolate-covered bacon (after hours, of course). Ms. Nicole is honored to open her family home to serve the local community.
The Bus Stop 10992 was created by parents for parents with convenience, peace-of-mind and affordability as top priorities.
We basically thought about the many things that we liked (and didn't like) from our own experiences with both home and center-based care. Then we mashed them all up together to offer you and your kids the best of both worlds.
