Tera's Cottage School

My Mom owned her own in home day care. I helped her run the administrative end as well as caring for the children. My mom has since passed away, however, this was a family run day care so you are welcome to speak to my family. I also worked in St. Augustine School in Kendall Park NJ for almost 10 years. I love working with children. I love watching them learn new things and grow into the little people they are going to become. In my Mom's day care we did all kids of fun and educational things. My Mom was a certified teacher so she did have a curriculum that we followed. The ages of the children ranged from infants to preschool age. They left knowing their colors, shapes, numbers and letters. As well as being able to write and spell their names and addresses. They were doing simple addition lessons...ie...adding and subtracting blocks from a circle. Some of the children were also learning how to read by the time the graduated from her day care. I have been a stay at home mom to my own 2 children for 16 years. My children are now in 9th and 4th grades in St. John's County.
