Tender Hearts Daycare

Tender Hearts Daycare is a program of The Perry Center, a home for young women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy, and a partner ministry of Christian Adoption Services, a licensed adoption agency. Our mission is to provide a safe, loving, Christ-centered environment with an emphasis on nurturing kids and developing a life-long relationship with Jesus. Enrollment is open to families in the community, including moms residing at The Perry Center or transitioning to independent living.

We are licensed to care for 15 children in North Dakota. We have the best of both worlds - we can offer developmentally appropriate activities in separate classrooms like a child care center; yet, we are small enough to be able to join classes together at times, build multiple teacher-child relationships, and offer a home-like environment similar to a family child care setting! We are proud to offer healthy, creative meals through the USDA Child & Adult Care Food Program.

At our core, we are all about ministry. We believe that kids are a gift from God and that each has unique gifts and talents. Many of our activities, conversations, and teaching moments are focused on the truths found in God's Word. It's not uncommon to see toddlers praying for each others' families by name before mealtimes! We consider it a joy and privilege to plant some of the first seeds of faith in the lives of young children in partnership with their families.

We believe children learn best through play! Play is how children learn and develop ideas about the world and helps build critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Play is not a break from learning - it's the way young children learn. We support this philosophy by offering a variety of play experiences.

We are committed to providing a safe environment for all children. All staff members are background-checked, First Aid & CPR-certified, and complete child care training upon hire and annually. Our facility is equipped with smoke detectors and safety gates, and potential hazards are not accessible to children. We have a large fenced-in play area where kids can play outdoors. In addition, we have safety policies and emergency response plans in place to ensure the safety of all.

We are Step 2 quality-rated with Bright & Early North Dakota.
