About the business
Teef and Beans is a pet service provider that features NYC's finest pet care experts. At Teef and Beans, we love your furbabies just like you.
I am a double ivy-league graduate with an earnest love for animals. As a previous cat and dog owner, I understand well the needs of furbabies. I have also fostered kittens and cats through the Jacksonville Humane Society (including medical foster) and trained a puppy for 8 months in preparation for rehoming. I have owned two pets for 10 to 15 years each at separate times, one cat, one dog. I am knowledgeable in and can provide bottle-feeding, litter training, physical therapy, medication, and offer general hugs and kisses as desired. I am mostly looking to pet sit and do drop-ins, play dates, and even work on pulling (60-90 min walks) and other behavioral corrections. I have taken care of up to four cats simultaneously, and am open to more. I like to communicate in advance with owners so that I can understand the special needs of each furbaby. I will make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for in your absence.
I generally schedule my life around when I am caring for pets, depending on the individual pet's needs, and am regularly pet sitting. My availability can be difficult because I have a lot of repeat clients. I do a lot of online work, and will usually bring a laptop with me to try and accomplish some work, though I do often just let it sit there while I play with the furbabies. I do my best to meet the needs of as many of my pet parents as much as possible, but usually book very quickly. Advanced notice of your needs is best.
I regularly do research on different ways to train and care for animals. I become familiar with the breeds of the pets I care for, so I can best serve their individual needs and provide them with the best possible care. I spend as much time with the furbabies as they desire and try to find ways to give them a better sense of security and greater confidence. When I leave a client's home, I do my best to leave it in at least the same, but usually better, condition than when I arrived. At this time, I am unable to care for pets in my home.
I am typically pet sitting at my client's homes. I am often booked well in advance. In my clients' homes, I care for their pets as they would care for their pets. At this time, I am unable to care for pets in my own home.
