Teacher's Tots

My name is Julia, and I am a teacher (English and reading) with 10 years' experience and a mother of 4. I left my teaching job in 2014 and have been caring for kids with my youngest two for the past year and a half. My son is going to kindergarten in the fall and my daughter, age 2.5, will still be at home with me. I am currently watching one 18-month-old girl and one 6-month-old girl. The 6-month-old will be leaving in the fall because her dad got a new job, so I am looking to take in one or two more toddlers or infants (12 weeks or older) starting in August. I am available on a part-time schedule, Mondays through Thursdays.

My kids and I spend the majority of our time outside when the weather is nice. We play games, read, practice flashcards, make-believe play, and create art. We recently got a big play set for our backyard, so we spend a lot of time outside on that, riding bikes, drawing with chalk or playing catch.

My children have no allergies to food, so this is definitely NOT a peanut-free environment. We have four pets: a Lab puppy (crated during the day), a hedgehog, a turtle, and a gecko. We are a non-smoking household.

I am happy to complete a background check (I always hadto do one to teach) and provide references. I do claim taxes.

I live off Hwy 40 and Big Bend in the Clayton/Richmond Heights area.
