I'm Candice; affectionately known as Teacher Candice. I am a warm, inviting, and experienced early educator.
I provide in-home private homeschooling and tutoring for children ages 18 months-9 years. My creative approach is play based and nature infused. I truly believe that children learn best when an approach responds To their interest and developmental needs appropriately. Through open-ended play and invitations we work on developmental skills such as math, literacy, language, handwriting, art, science, social-emotional skills, everyday life skills and so much more.
Partnering with the child, I create a thriving learning environment that responds to each child's specific learning styles and passionate interest.

-We send via, email weekly updates of your child's learning journey- this is for you and your family to share and reflect on what the child has engaged in for the week. It will also highlight developmental points for you as the parent.

I begin building a learning portfolio for you and your child. This is a visual (photo, video, and written) documentation that tells a story of your child's learning journey. This comprehensive documentation allows you to progressively understand your child's strengths, progress, and development in a very simple and clear manner.
This may also be used as a keepsake or information you may want to pass on to future teachers and educators.

I provide most materials needed for our daily sessions. I may need home supplies that you have on hand such as cooking tools, blocks, books, etc
I will be sure to let you know what may be needed from home in advance.
