Greetings! My name is Tammy and I am an Experienced Licensed Childcare Provider in Federal Heights/Westminster Area. I have been licensed through the Colorado Department of Human Services, Division of Child Care since 1995. Becoming a Childcare provider has allowed me to follow my passion of caring for children and allowed me to stay home and care for my own children. I provide care for infants 4 weeks and up to school age children. I serve warm nutritious meals, breakfast, lunch and snacks daily. As required by the Colorado Department of Human Services, Division of Child Care for my licensed I am certified in the following: First Aid / CPR, Medication training Administration & Universal Precautions. Along with attending yearly childcare continuing education classes.
I teach preschool in which we learn our, numbers, colors, shapes, ABCs, letter recognition, the sounds the letters make, and we learn to write our names. I have two computers where the children are taught with educational software. I work with the children in a group and one on one to help each child on their own level of learning. We do learning games, Planned Activities, Cooking Projects, Arts and Crafts, Blocks and Puzzles, Circle Time, Learning about Sharing is Caring, Story Time, Music and Movement, Play-doh, etc.
I strongly believe in the power of play and encourage each of the children in my care to spend their day learning through play!
Activities outdoors, we have a BIG and SAFE BACKYARD, where we play every day, (weather permitting): Running around, sand/water play, games, slides, swing set, climbers, playground, playhouses, basketball hoop, bikes, wagons, balls, etc.
