Sywee & Friends' Academy

SyWee & Friends' Academy (SFA) and staff understands the importance to contribute with a development of a child. SFA turnover is limited, because we provide child care from ages: 13 months to pre-k in family nurturing environment. Although SFA is a family home child care provider, it is not in competition. SFA provides a 1:2 ratio versus the standard let's fill the business to the child limit capacity , so when we mention quality it is not an opinion, but a fact.

SFA strives to provide a safe, comfortable, stimulating, fun, yet educational environment in my home with a semi-structured day plan. Activities not limited, but includes: free playtime, structured playtime, large/small motor skill playtime, story time, theater activities, arts & crafts, music/dance activities, nature awareness, nutrition, cultural activities, and other educational, yet fun activities. Through a mixture of guided and creative play, children in our care will have the opportunity to learn about color, shapes, textures, numbers, letters, animals, seasons, feelings, senses, nutrition, personal hygiene, manners, basic science and math concepts, and creative concepts such as pretend play, art, music, drama and dance.

SFA provides nutritious meals/snacks, encourage personal hygiene skills, and good manners. These may sound like lofty goals for toddlers and preschoolers, but children can learn so much and more through creative play. SFA does not believe in pushing any child to learn at an accelerated rate, and will not make a child feel pressured to achieve any developmental milestones. By providing the right kind of fun, safe and educational environment, I believe that children will learn at their own appropriate pace.
