Susy's Care

At Susy's Care, I focus on your child's development and having fun. I provide a loving, home environment where your children will be happy to play and learn as they grow. My home is a safe, secure place where your children can develop a sense of trust and respect for self and others. I believe it is important to make sure that children keep their sense of wonder and excitement about their environment and their day-to-day lives, so they grow up to be confident, curious, and independent. When a child needs extra attention and guidance to continue developing, I work to find creative ways to connect with them so they can advance and be enthusiastic again as a result of their strengthened skills. Because I work with a small group of children, your child will receive quality time and individual attention while at Susy's Care.

For 15 years I have had my own home daycare, providing care for children as young as 3 weeks old and up to 12 years old. I am certified by the Washington State Department of Early Learning as a Family Home Child Care provider, and regularly updated First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.

Before I had my own business, I worked as a live-in nanny for about 8 years in Coronado, California. The children I cared for were infants up to middle-school age students. I am still in contact with one of the families I worked for over 18 years ago, their toddler is now a college student.

My home is in the town of Oak Harbor, Washington. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided at Susy's Care. Activities include arts and crafts, music time, and learning by pretend-play and sensory activities. I focus on early learning skills introduce children to pre-Kindergarten concepts. Rates are negotiable, please contact me to discuss your childcare needs and budget.
