In-Home Daycare

Susan M. Anderson

About

Dear Parents,
I was licensed in Texas and kept 3 infants and 3 toddlers. I am 65 years old and currently work part-time as a Certified Nursing Assistant. I have an exercise program I do 5 days a week that keeps my body very flexible. I walk a treadmill inside during the winter and walk around Monona during the summer and fall. I have purchased a 2 child Graco stroller. I am looking for an infant full-time to come to my home. I start caring for my grandson in July when my daughter-in-law goes back to work. Three infants would be my limit.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and have taught 4th grade.
I have a degree as a medical office assistant.
I have reared 2 sons. One is a Major in the Air Force, and a pilot currently serving at the Embassy in Cairo, Egypt. The other is an analytical research chemist, is married to a woman who is a cell culture technician. They live in Cottage Grove and are having my first grandchild at the end of April. I moved here from Appleton to be their nanny.
I taught both my sons to read by the age of 4. I do shapes, colors, sequencing, drawing, lots of reading, poems, nursery rhymes, songs and many numerous things to teach them all about the world they live in. My sons were taught to cook, sew, polish shoes, iron, how to do laundry, tie shoes, bake cookies, shovel snow, garden, and clean windows. I took them camping and brought them up as Boy Scouts.
I have a Ford Expedition. It was 13 years old in May and has never been in an accident. I have a current driver's license, and am insured for home, auto, and child care liability.
I am certified in CPR, know the Heimlich Maneuver, and general first aid. I currently care for 25 residents who are in rehabilitation from surgery; recent amputees; stroke and victims of heart attacks who are relearning the activities of daily living. I like my job. I have been doing this for eight years.
I am looking for a full-time commitment, as I will be retiring to provide this service. I am honest, reliable, and dependable. It would be my pleasure to care for and teach your baby while you are at work.
My home number is 920-915-1152. Let me know if you would like to do a meet and greet.
Blessings,
Susan M. Anderson
